Name: Jin
Age: 15-16
Canon: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Canon Point: Episode: The Tales of Ba Sing Se/ Comic: Going home again
Physical Description: Here , Here , and here
Possessions: Just her cute braids, the clothes on her back, and her big appetite. ( Maybe even a coupon for a certain Tea shop. )
Personality:
Have you ever been welcomed into someone's life with open arms and a big smile? That's the kind of girl Jin is. She is a very friendly girl with a good head on her shoulders. She's playful and adventurous and just an all around carefree girl and she's not afraid to be herself. She's also very sweet and enjoys life.
Jin and her family are refugees from the lower ring of Ba Sing Se. Despite not having much, their family always got by with just enough and raised their daughter well. She's happy with what she has and doesn't judge anyone based on how they look or how they act because she can see the inner good. She was able to see this on her date with Zuko. She fell for him the minute she saw him working in the tea shop and asked him out on a date. She was really nervous about asking him, but she was determined. Zuko and his uncle Iroh had been hiding their identities from everyone and were known as Lee and Mushi at this point. During that awkward date of Zuko being moody and awkward, she never once had a bad time. She found him fun to be around. And not once did she ever mention the scar on his face or how he got it. She ignored it and just focused on him. She just saw him as a normal boy who was silly and really cute.
She was also very playful during this date as well. When she first met up with him outside of his home, she ruffled up Zuko's hair that his uncle worked so hard to get just right and happily dragged him off to start their date. He told her he came to Ba Sing Se as a juggler and she excitedly asked him to show her his skills. After failing his juggling act Jin laughed and teased him a little before dragging him off again.
Jin isn't an aggressive or assertive girl though. Instead she'd rather pursue her love life and everything else in life with her kind personality. She may have seemed like she was pushing Zuko into things during their date, but she was only trying to show him how much fun he could be having. She even showed him this very special place in the lower ring that was her favorite place to be. It was this fountain that lit up with fire on most nights to shine beautifully. She seemed really disappointed when she couldn't share the wonderful sight with him because she wanted to share a beautiful sight with someone she was really liking.
When Zuko saw this sadness on her face, something about that sad look made him want to do something nice for her because he thought she was really sweet, so he made her close her eyes and lit up the lights with his firebending despite the fact that he was trying to hide it. When she opened her eyes she was filled with so much joy she couldn't even contain it. That little gesture or magic trick or whatever it was, it was the most amazing thing in her mind.
She wanted to thank his gesture and the wonderful night she had with a kiss, then Zuko blocked it with a coupon he had to the tea shop. She found it amusing and was still grateful for the gift, but she couldn't let this opportunity slide. With her crush and her romantic heart at her side, she leaned in for another kiss before Zuko ran off and left her at the fountain.
That moment hurt a little because she wasn't sure what she had done wrong, but she didn't let the feeling get the best of her. Instead the next time she saw Zuko, he was with his friend Mai and she greeted him with the same big smile she had before. She doesn't hold grudges against him and was just genuinely happy to see him again.
Jin is just a happy go lucky girl with a big romantic heart, and she doesn't get angry or offended very easily. Every little gesture and every little event that went on during her date with Zuko just filled her up with more happiness. Even when Zuko awkwardly tried to compliment her by telling her she had a pretty big appetite, she was still happy. She genuinely had a wonderful time despite how awkward it might have seemed and only grew to like Zuko more.

So this was the new world, huh? Jin could hardly believe what had happened. She still wasn't sure if she was just dreaming or if this were all true. Wandering around Jin was staring at all the new fashions and all the new contraptions, it was a lot to take in, here in Republic city. It was actually really exciting! She ran around town trying to get the feel for everything she saw. She greeted everyone she ran past. The locals must have thought she was a bit loony.
She spent the whole day just exploring and enjoying how much fun everything look. That's when she decided to take a break in the Central City Station. There were a bunch of kids playing around this giant statue and some shady looking people lurking around too. Jin was too preoccupied to notice that though. What caught her eye was the statue that seemed to burst out fire from its hands. It was such an amazing statue and it had a familiar feel to it as well.
Jin took a closer look at the statue with a small smile forming on her lips. She moved her hand to the left side of her face as she stared up at the statue. Yep, something seemed all too familiar about this statue.
"Lee," She murmured softly to herself. He looked so much older and so much taller. Well he was a statue, but that's besides the point. She leaned in the read the plaque. So this was Fire Lord Zuko, huh? She laughed out loud causing the children to scatter.
" So it wasn't magic at all. You totally cheated that night," she said shaking her fist at the statue. it was all in good fun and she couldn't stop the giggles from happening. She really should have known something was strange. Turning around, she pushed herself off from the statue and started walking away.
"Well, Fire lord? Lets just see this new world you helped create. I hope you put in some fountains."
